1) Apply to be part of the program by filling out this form. Be sure to click submit on each page. The survey has several pages. You are not done till you see the "Thank You" page. Be sure to enter a valid e-mail address as e-mail is our primary means of communicating.

2) The student must attend a required meeting on September 17, 2017 with at least one parent or guardian from 3pm - 6pm at the University of Maryland in the Computer Science Instructional Center (CSIC) Room 3117. We will send you directions via e-mail.

3) We encourage the student to attend at least 4 help sessions to help prepare the student to pass the AP CS A exam. A help session will be offered once a month at the University of Maryland on weekend afternoons. Webinars will be offered twice a week. To participate in webinar the student will need access to a computer with an internet connection and a browser.

4) If the student reports her score to the project staff, they will be entered into a drawing to win a prize. The AP CS A exam scores are usually reported to students in July 2018.

5) The student will be asked to complete surveys about her attitudes towards computing, and a pretest that measure the student's computer science knowledge. The student may also be asked to participate in interviews or focus groups as part of the evaluation of this project.
