The Honors College welcomes the Class of 2022!
This year, 1,033 students are joining one of seven living-learning programs in the Honors College: Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students (ACES), Design Cultures & Creativity (DCC), Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program (EIP), Gemstone (GEMS), Honors Humanities (HH), Integrated Life Sciences (ILS), and University Honors (UH).
Of the 1,033 new students, 93 will join ACES, 61 will join DCC, 79 will join EIP, 168 will join GEMS, 66 will join HH, 83 will join ILS, and 483 will join University Honors.
Our new class joins us from all over the country and the world:
859 new #HonorsTerps are Maryland residents.
The rest come from 26 other states (AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI)...
and 5 different countries (Taiwan, China, India, Vietnam, and Kiribati).
The Class of 2022 is exceptionally excellent!
The Banneker/Key Scholarship is awarded to a select group of applicants who have demonstrated significant academic leadership and accomplishment in high school.
The Class of 2022 has students from every academic college on campus and though these #HonorsTerps come from a variety of majors, their top five areas of study are:
