New Student Welcome
Days before classes begin, Fall Semester
Part of Fall Welcome, this is Maryland's version of a new student convocation. Over 5,000 new students gather on the iconic McKeldin Mall and are officially welcomed to the University. This event features short speeches by President Pine, student leaders, and other esteemed guests.

Terps After Dark
First Six Weeks of the Fall Semester
Terps After Dark is a collection of late night, alcohol-free programming until 2 a.m. every Thursday-Saturday for the first six weeks of school. We welcome all new and returning University of Maryland, College Park students (undergraduate and graduate). Movies, athletic events, music and dance activities, comedy and artist performances, and much more! Plus, many of the events will offer free food and other fun giveaways that you won’t want to miss. Terps After Dark is lucky to have support from a number of great partners, including: Adele H. Stamp Student Union, Alumni Association, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Dining Services, Division of Student Affairs, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Intercollegiate Athletics, Maryland Hillel, Parent & Family Affairs, Public Safety, Residence Hall Association, Resident Life, Student Entertainment Events, Terp Thon, Catholic Student Center, University Health Center, and University Recreation & Wellness. All Niter
One of the first Fridays in February
Stamp's biggest party! Activities start in the afternoon and continue until almost 12am! Previous activities have included Bingo, caricature and airbrush artists, movies in the Hoff, fashion shows, carnival games, aerial artists, and a late night dance party. Homecoming
Fall Semester
University of Maryland's Homecoming celebration is a week-long schedule of activities that culminates in the Terp Carnival on Friday night, and the Homecoming football game on Saturday. Homecoming Week events are conceptualized and planning primarily by the Student Homecoming Committee.  Visit homecoming.umd.edu for more information.

Maryland Day
Last Saturday in April
A family-friendly campus wide event featuring hundreds of interactive exhibits, workshops, and live performances. Come and discover the best of the University's academics, athletics, and the arts along with new programs. Visit marylandday.umd.edu for more information.

Stamp Study Zone
Around Finals Week each semester
Refuel, recharge, and relax during Finals Week. Activities have included free 10-minute chair massages, free food, and rooms designated for study space. Visit the Stamp Study Zone website for more information.
