Speaker Proposals
 Thanks for your interest in presenting at the Diversity in Computing Summit. We are currently looking for dynamic and innovative speakers for our Diversity in Computing Summit on March 2nd, 2018 at Riggs Alumni Center on the University of Maryland campus. We are looking for speakers to host breakout sessions or table topics in the form of round tables.

Breakout sessions can be:
-Advice/recommendations based on expeirence
-Evidence based research
-Best practices in the industry
-Panels

We will host parallel breakout sessions 3 times throughout the conference.  Each session will be about 45 minutes in length. Speakers are expected to stay for most of the conference and will receive a complimentary registration to attend.

Table Topics are 30-45 minute round-table discussions on a particular diversity in computing topic of your interest.  These round tables discussions will occur at the conclusion of lunch. Past topics include:

-Technical Interviews
-Corporate Mentorship Program
-University Engagement Strategies
-Volunteerism in the Workforce
-WhistleBlowing vs Tattle Tailing
-Work Life Balance
-Overcoming Bias
-Imposter Syndrome
-Building and Maintaining the Pipeline
-Technical Resumes
