Lavender Graduation recognizes an important milestone in the lives of our LGBTQIA+ graduates. Each year, this event also provides an opportunity for our community to come together and honor those among us who have worked to make College Park a better place for LGBTQ+ people.

Whether you have been involved in the LGBTQIA+ community at UMD or not, we encourage all to attend to support the celebration of the excellence and resilience of all graduates and award winners. Each LGBTQIA+ graduate will receive a rainbow tassel, rainbow stole, and a certificate of achievement.

***Lavender Graduation 2019 will be Tuesday, May 21st, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Memorial Chapel. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.***

We encourage all graduates and guests to bring family, friends, and other significant individuals in their lives from both on and off campus. Of course, all faculty and staff are invited.
