Prior to the main event, "An Evening with Zach Stafford, Editor-in-Chief, Grindr and INTO Magazine," from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the Colony Ballroom (2203, Stamp), Stafford would like to meet students of color, queer and trans students, and aspiring journalists for an intimate meal! This is a no-stress opportunity to get to know Stafford a bit more closely, while exploring your own career interests and lived experiences. Pride Month is proud to present a conversation with Zach Stafford, Editor-in-Chief of Grindr and INTO Magazine, former Editor-at-Large for OUT magazine and award-winning investigative reporter with the Guardian. From covering stories about the realities of everyday queer life to reporting on the loss of life at the hands of police brutality, Stafford’s work has always centered the marginalized, helping to highlight the lives of those silenced and sidelined. Now, as the Editor-in-Chief of Grindr, the world’s largest networking app for queer, bi, trans, and gay people, and its electronic magazine, INTO, Stafford is bringing queer media into the digital age. Join us for a moderated conversation with Stafford, followed by an open-audience Q&A. Refreshments will be provided, and sexual health organizations will be in attendance providing resources to those interested!
