Plan for Mental Health Challenges in Schools with the 3-1-1 Initiative (10:45 AM to Noon)

The pressure to get good grades and fit in at school can create a lot of stress for students; therefore, it is critical that schools provide students with a plan to handle life’s challenges.

High Point High School in Beltsville recognizes the importance of making mental health a priority for high school students and one way they acknowledge that is through their 311 initiative. This program helps students identify:

  • 3 Strategies they can use when dealing with a stressful situation
  • 1 Peer they trust to share their struggles

  • 1 Adult they can reach out to for help

Teachers and principals are invited to this workshop to learn first hand from High Point High School’s Community School Coordinator about the 3-1-1 Initiative including how it works and how they can implement it in their schools.

The workshop will be led by Tatiana Sandoval, Community School Coordinator at High Point High School.

The workshop will take place from 10:45 AM until Noon on Saturday, November 12th. It will be held at The Hotel which is located at 7777 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740.

Sign up as soon as you can to provide hosts with enough notice to prepare for the audience size. This new and important event is one you won't want to miss.
