Robert S. Gold Ph.D, Dr.PH, Dean University of Maryland College Park, School of Public Health

Dr. Gold was founding Dean, School of Public Health, and currently is Professor and Chair of the Department of Behavioral and Community Health. Dr. Gold holds a Ph.D. in health education with major emphases in computer science and research design, and a Dr.P.H. in Community Health Practice with major areas of study program evaluation and epidemiology. He has 50 years of experience in academia and public health, with most of his work involved with the application of information technologies to public health.  He currently serves as Director of Educational Innovation in the School of Public Health.

Sandra L. Saperstein, PhD, Lecturer, University of Maryland College Park, School of Public Health

Dr. Saperstein is a lecturer in the Department of Behavioral and Community Health and currently teaches classes in public health informatics, digital health, and social media.  Prior to earning her PhD in Public and Community Health, Dr. Saperstein worked for over ten years as an occupational therapist and worked primarily with adults with neurological diagnoses.

Rosanne Rushing, DrPH, MPH, Public Health Program Director and Associate Professor, Gallaudet University

Dr. Rushing has more than 20 years working internationally in the field of Public Health/Global Health. She is currently leading the Public Health program at Gallaudet University where she focuses on inclusive health.


Becka Pittard, Gallaudet University

Becka Pittard is a senior at Gallaudet University with a major in Public Health and a minor in Psychology. She served on the Advisory Board to help improve different types of online accommodation for people with disabilities.  

Sara Hatfield, University of Maryland

Sara (she/her) is a junior at the University of Maryland-College Park pursuing a dual-degree in Community Health & Family Science. This summer, Sara served as a member of the Student Advisory Board.
