K-12 Outreach Interest Form

The Iribe Initiative for Inclusion and Diversity in Computing and the Maryland Center for Women in Computing host a wide variety of K-12 outreach opportunities.
 
Please use this form to express your interest in any of our Fall 2023 outreach programs that we offer.
Please complete this form for each child interested. The official registration form will be released later in September 2023.

High School Workshops and Recruitment Events: These events are for all students currently enrolled in high school and looking to learn more about the field of computing, college admission process, and the University of Maryland's Department of Computer Science. Please complete the interest form below so that we can contact you when registration for these events are open.

Creative Computing Program: an enrichment program designed to provide all students, in grades 4-8 experiences in computer science concepts 

Rise Up 4 CS+ @UMD: This program aims to help ALL women, non-binary,  including Black, Latinx, and Native American women pass the Advanced Placement Computer Science A (AP CSA) and AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) exams. You must be enrolled in AP CSA (Java) or AP CSP during the 2022-2023 school year to apply. 

NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award:  We honor 9-12 grade students who identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary for their computing or tech related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Our AiC recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, and tenacity in the face of barriers to access. Girl Scouts Workshop: If you or your troup are interested in us hosting virtual workshop for the Coding for Good, Cybersecurity, and Robot Badge Suites. Or, if you would like to attend an in person workshop, please complete this form
