2021 Summer Academy Interest Form

The Iribe Initiative for Inclusion and Diversity in Computing and the Maryland Center for Women in Computing host a wide variety of summer youth programs in our I4C & MCWIC Summer Academy.
 
Please use this form to express your interest in any of our summer programs that we offer.

Elementary School Students
Jumpstart Computing: This one-week camp seeks to introduce rising 4th-5th graders to the field of computer science and STEM, and to increase their interest early on.

Target Camper: Rising 4th and 5th Graders
Session 1: July 5th - July 9th
Session 2: July 12th - July 16th  
Adjusted Cost: $100 (originally $150)


Middle School Students
CompSciConnect: This is a three-year program that begins in the summer with a two-week long computing program for rising 6th-8th graders. Students who are accepting in this program advance through different levels of computing knowledge such as web design and game development. There are monthly meetings during the academic calendar.

Target Camper: Rising 6th, 7th and 8th Graders
Session 1 (Red & Yellow): June 21st - July 2nd
Session 2 (Terp & Red): July 19th - July 30th
Session 3 (Terp & Yellow): August 2nd - August 13th
Adjusted Cost: $150 (originally $300)


High School Students
AI4ALL: This is a three-week long computer programming and artificial intelligence (AI) summer program. The camp will be offered to rising 10th and 11th graders.

Target Camper: Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th Graders
Session: July 12th - July 30th
Cost: $300 (originally $500)

Cyber Defense: During this two-week summer program, rising 11th and 12th grade students learn and apply their skills in intermediate networking, programming, hacking, and more while learning about the careers in cybersecurity and cybersecurity options.

Target Camper: Rising 11th and 12th Graders
Session: June 21st - July 2nd
Adjusted Cost: $500 (originally $1000)


Introduction to Computing 101: This is a two-week program where students with no experience with computing can dive deep into the fields and study of computer science.

Target Camper: Rising 9th-12th Graders
Session 1: July 5th - July 9th
Session 2: July 12th - July 16th  
Adjusted Cost: $150 (originally $750)
