The Graduate School announces the inaugural series of GradTerp Exchange at MilkBoy Arthouse. This event is a partnership with The Clarice and Milkboy ArtHouse, a local crossroads for dynamic entertainment, social gathering and creative dining in downtown College Park, MD. Modeled on events such “nerd nites,” TED talks, or ignite talks, the GradTerp Exchange offers graduate students and post docs a unique and important opportunity to develop professional communication skills, share their scholarship, and engage in conversations with an interested and engaged audience in a more relaxed atmosphere. Communicating your enthusiasm and conveying the significance of your discipline and scholarship to mixed audience is an essential skill for all academics. It can launch, make, or break a career.
