Roles AMPs will fill in my course - check all that apply. (Note: this helps give us a sense of how to best support you and your AMPs. There's no correct answer, and we'd love to hear about anything you're doing that's not part of this list yet in the "other" category. If you're looking for more guidance and inspiration, check out the AMP instructor handbook: https://go.umd.edu/amp-handbook) *
Required
Approximately how many AMPs will you have in your course? (This information helps give the TLTC a general sense of numbers, but it's not a problem if you have to add/drop an AMP after filling out this form. You can see some examples of how instructors have used AMPs and considerations for how many to invite in the Example AMP Responsibilities section of the AMP Instructor Handbook: https://go.umd.edu/amp-handbook. Reminder: please tell your first-time AMPs to enroll in TLTC333: Fundamentals of Academic Peer Mentoring.) *
[Answer this question only if your AMPs need additional independent study credits with the TLTC for their work in your course.] Please list the 1) name 2) email address, and 3) UID of each of your AMPs who will need to enroll in TLTC399: Independent Study in Academic Peer Mentoring (must be taken concurrently or after TLTC333, students can receive a maximum of 6 credits in 399 across semesters. See the Instructor Handbook for more details about these credits: https://go.umd.edu/amp-course-credit)
[Answer this only if you are enrolling AMPs in TLTC399 - the independent study credits listed in the question above.] Do you already have a section of TLTC399? (You should have one if you have given students independent study credits for TLTC399 in previous semesters).
Clear selection
I understand that I am responsible for 1) recruiting and selecting my AMPS, 2) defining and communicating responsibilities and expectations to my AMPs, 3) supervising and mentoring my AMPs (including one mid-semester feedback meeting), 4) if applicable, proving a final grade for any of my AMPs enrolled in TLTC399: Independent Study in Academic Peer Mentoring. Please see the AMP Instructor Handbook for more information. If you are unable to meet these responsibilities and need to discuss options with us, please email tltc-amp@umd.edu *
What other support do you need from the TLTC? Please let us know if you have any questions or need any other help from us. Thanks so much for your involvement in AMP!
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
