County farm is located
The objective of this project is for growers to work with Extension to identify the top needs of crop fields, and to incorporate cover crops into their cropping system in a way that will help to address those needs. Which of the following scenarios may be applicable to your fields? Select all that apply.
If you selected "other" above, what other scenarios do you have in mind for how cover crops can address an issue you are facing or help your overall cropping system? Please list any ideas you have.
Are you willing to take part in an interview performed by your local Extension ag agent? During this interview, we will gather detailed agronomic and financial management records about three fields on your farm, and information about how you network and share information related to cover crops. Your information will be confidential and our interview should not take more than 1 hour (however we understand that it may take you additional time to compile your records).

Soil health benchmark testing will be provided free to collaborating farmers. We will sample and analyze soil from 3 fields. Sample results will remain confidential. Will you allow us to sample and analyze soil from 3 of your fields? More information about this can be found here: https://futureharvest.org/resources/resources-for-farmers/soil-health/

Are you willing to participate in a "learning circle"? This will be an opportunity to discuss what you have done and/or learned through your enrolled cover crop field with other farmers on the Eastern Shore who are also enrolled in this project, and learn from one another and troubleshoot.  Meetings can occur virtually or in person (depending on your preference).  This would take 3-4 hours of time per year.

At some of our collaborating farms, we would like to hold field-days. Are you willing to allow your Extension ag agent to host a field-day (open to the public) at your enrolled field? This event be geared toward farmers and ag service providers to model your innovative cover cropping practices. The event would be 1-2 hours long.
