Come Home to SPH! Homecoming is a great chance to connect with former classmates and professors, to meet new fellow alumni and to learn ways to connect with current activities and initiatives in the School of Public Health. The SPH Alumni Network is re-energized with new leadership and is excited to share many ways to get involved! From networking and mentoring opportunities to social events, we think you'll find something for everyone!
Join us for breakfast on Homecoming day (Terps vs. Indiana Hoosiers), to include a 'Coming Home to SPH' alumni Q & A led by current board members about the variety of ways for SPH alumni to get involved. The event will start with a welcome from Dean Boris Lushniak and finish up with an 'interactive tour' of the Children’s Developmental Clinic, a SPH volunteer training program through which students gain experience providing activities and support for children experiencing delays in motor development, speech, language, reading and social development. The clinic has been in operation since 1968 and is conducted in partnership with the Prince George’s Community College.
SPH alumni are also invited and encouraged to attend the UMD Alumni Association’s tailgate party at 12:00 pm, following this event.
