INTRODUCE YOURSELVES TO YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES!

Ahead of meeting your new colleagues, we are asking everyone to introduce themselves with an Adobe Express post that we can display, and so that you will be able to get to know your new colleagues. We will be displaying these posts during Orientation and may also include them on our website and in other communications.

Your UMD email and password will give you access to Adobe’s Creative Cloud. Adobe Express, however, is free, so you can use it if you don’t yet have your UMD email account.

Instructions
Go to Adobe Express and create an account or log in with your UMD email (Google - enterprise account - multi-authentication through Duo).  To create your post, go to the home screen and select “Instagram Post” or "Social Post/Social Graphics" (It is important that all of the posts are the same shape for display purposes.)  Note all of the options on the right and left hand columns, including ways to create different grids on your post.
On your post you could include the following information, however you want to present it, or anything else you would like to share to help your new colleagues get to know you better.
  • Your Name
  • Your department at UMD
  • Your research/teaching area
  • Your hometown
  • A picture of you
  • A fun fact about you
  • A favorite quotation
