The Joseph D. Tydings Endowed Scholarship in Government, Policy and Leadership was established by family and friends in memory of Senator Joseph D. Tydings '50 in recognition of his life-long commitment to service of state and country, and to mentoring our students and future leaders. The scholarship will be given to a student studying Government and Politics at the University of Maryland who exemplifies Senator Tydings' ethos of service and leadership.
